
NATIONAL LEADERsHIP
The National Board is the group responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the organization. Headed by the National Chairman, it is made up of officers elected by the National Committee and directors and staff members appointed by the Board.
The National Committee, on the other hand, is the organization's governing body. It is made up of state chapter board members and chapter presidents. The National Committee sets the High School Republicans' overall direction and policies and works to support and coordinate the efforts of the state and local chapters.

David Sharyan (OR)
David Sharyan serves as the National Chairman of the High School Republicans National Federation, leading the charge to organize and empower conservative high school students across America. A staunch defender of traditional values, personal responsibility, and limited government, David has emerged as one of the most capable young voices in the movement. A student at La Salle Catholic College Preparatory in Oregon, David pairs academic rigor with political action. He is the OSAA Speech and Debate State Champion in Congressional Debate and previously served as Sophomore Class President. David is the former Chairman and Founder of the Oregon High School Republicans, where he built a strong foundation for conservative student activism statewide. During the 2024 election cycle, he served as Head Intern for Congresswoman Lori Chavez-DeRemer’s campaign—one of the most closely watched and hotly contested congressional races in the nation. Locally, he serves as a Councilman on the Happy Valley Youth Council, where he led the successful push for a resolution against flavored tobacco products—proof of his commitment to translating conservative principles into real policy outcomes. David plans to run for Congress in the future to serve his community, defend American values, and bring a new generation of leadership to public office. As National Chairman, David is committed to building a bold, articulate, and well-organized conservative youth movement—one that honors America’s founding ideals while preparing young Republicans to lead with strength, integrity, and resolve.

Carden Truong (TX)
Carden Truong is the National Development Director of HSREPS and is a rising senior. As an avid citizen of his community, Carden began volunteering around his home city of Cypress after taking an interest in politics. His burning passion led him to be elected Class President in his sophomore year of high school. During the summer of that year, Carden took a huge step in his political career and was accepted into the prestigious United States Senate Page Program, where he spent the first semester of his junior year. Since coming back, Carden has put his focus back on HSREPS and aims to continue to promote conservative values in his community. Outside of HSREPS, Carden is a keen gamer and likes to play airsoft.

Secretary
Clayton Lord (TN)
Clayton Lord is a dedicated student leader and active member of his community. He is an officer in both Tennessee Youth in Government and ALTMUN, both of which he has received awards for performance and leadership. Serving as Vice President of the Class of 2027 and Secretary of the Leo Club, he is a leader in fostering civic action and service among his peers. Along with this, he is also a longtime member of the Carnegie-Hall-Performing Chattanooga Boys Choir and is a member of his school’s newspaper board. Off-campus, Clayton has assisted numerous local political campaigns and is a strong advocate for freedom of speech in schools, always striving to ensure that students have their voices heard and respected.

Ryan golditch (RI)
Ryan Golditch is a sophomore at Cranston High School West, where he serves as Class President for the Class of 2027. He served as campaign manager for a local city council race, leading canvassing operations, voter outreach, and a full-scale Election Day field strategy. Ryan completed the Leadership Institute’s Youth Leadership School on scholarship, receiving intensive training in grassroots political organizing. A former JV Captain of the Science Olympiad team, he also competes on the Math Team. Outside the classroom, Ryan is a passionate musician—performing as a pianist in the Jazz Band and as a vocalist in both the Rhode Island High School Honors Choir and HaZamir International Youth Choir. He also serves as a pianist and assistant teacher at Temple Beth-El. Ryan is deeply interested in political science, technology, and music, and aspires to become a quantitative analyst and eventually run for the U.S. House or Senate.

jacquez jones (tx)
Jacquez Jones is an unapologetic conservative who jumped head first into politics at 15 years old— knocking on doors, making phone calls, and slamming signs into the ground, Jacquez has a history of support strong conservative candidates up and down the ballot. A fierce advocate for personal responsibility, individual freedoms, liberty and fiscal responsibility, Jacquez has worked around the clock to help elect Republicans up and down the ballot. From leading voter registration drives, helping organize town halls and service projects, to volunteering over 500 cumulative hours with his local GOP Jacquez has already made an impact in his community.

Webmaster
Jade Chen (TX)
Jade is a passionate and skilled webmaster from Texas with a keen interest in technology, design, and digital innovation. As a dedicated member of HSREPS, Jade brings creativity and precision to the digital landscape, ensuring the organization's online presence is both engaging and accessible. Beyond web development, Jade enjoys playing the violin, practicing ballet, and strategizing on the chessboard. Jade's achievements include placing in the Top 10 and Top 5 at UIL Computer Science Competition, as well as making UIL Region and State. Looking ahead, Jade aspires to become an aerospace engineer, channeling a passion for technology and exploration into pushing the boundaries of innovation.

Rachel Howard (LA)
Rachel Howard is the Chair of the National Federation of College Republicans. As the National Chair, she is working to help College Republican Federations around the country advance the Republican cause on campus, elect conservatives, and mobilize the next generation of Republican leadership.
Prior to her current position, Rachel was the Louisiana state chair for 3 years where she helped grow the Federation, provided block grants to chapters, and hosted a multitude of speakers and days of action. She has worked on numerous campaigns in and out of Louisiana.

John Koons (DC)
​John Koons currently serves as Deputy Director at the Leadership Institute’s Jay Henges Center, where he assists in training conservative activists on running campaigns. He previously served as the Youth Engagement Director for the Republican National Committee, where he led party efforts of engaging young voters. Starting as a college freshman, he organized various local school board, borough council, and judicial campaigns, before transitioning to other local and statewide elections. During the 2020 presidential cycle, John served as the Pennsylvania Trump Victory Leadership Initiative Director where he oversaw the statewide volunteer recruitment and training efforts. Prior to joining the statewide Pennsylvania Trump Victory team, John was a grassroots organizer for Central Pennsylvania, developing a robust team of 1,000+ volunteers between 2018 and 2019.
